Reports presented to the Reformed Episcopal Church’s 58th General Council showed continued mission growth, parish development, and diocesan activity across the church. The Diocese of the Central States reported several recent mission and parish actions, including the reception of Christ the Redeemer in Owensboro, Kentucky, as a mission parish, the approval of Darke County Anglican Mission as an extension work, and the enrollment of St. Luke’s Church in Maysville, Kentucky, as a member mission parish.
The same diocesan report also noted the closing of St. Andrews Anglican Church in Asheboro, North Carolina, after the mission voted to merge with All Souls Anglican in the Anglican Province of America. It further recorded the approval of Shelley Fleming to be set apart as a deaconess in March 2024 and the reception of Christ Church in Florence, Kentucky, from the APA in July 2025.
The report reflected the kind of steady parish-level movement that often shapes diocesan life in the REC: new mission work, transitions between jurisdictions, and the faithful reordering of local church ministry.
