The Reformed Episcopal Church’s Sustentation Fund reported continued improvement in the church’s financial position and said its investments are now at their highest point ever. The report recalled that in 2014 the church revised its budget model after determining that operating and investment accounts were being drawn down at an unsustainable rate.
With the support of bishops and General Council, the fund adjusted its budget practices so that operating expenses would be covered by operating income. The trustees said that over the course of the past twelve years, the program has achieved some success. The report pointed to the stronger position of the fund’s investments as evidence of that progress.
The budget report also said the 2026 budget had been recommended for approval by the General Committee and presented to General Council. The report added that budgets for the remaining years of the triennium would be reviewed and amended annually by the General Committee.
