The Reformed Episcopal Church’s General Committee approved several administrative actions in advance of the 58th General Council, including committee reports, housing arrangements, and an agreement involving the church’s mission in Europe. Among the actions reported was approval of a memorandum of understanding between the REC Missionary Diocese of Croatia and Serbia and the Anglican Network in Europe in forming the GAFCON proto-province in Europe.
The committee also recognized the years of faithful service of the Rt. Rev. Peter Manto, second Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of the Central States. Other business included authorizing Bishop Grote to reserve additional hotel rooms in Richmond for the council and approving reports from the Sustentation Fund and other committees.
These actions provided the administrative framework for the council’s proceedings while also underscoring the REC’s continuing attention to diocesan order, mission partnerships, and institutional continuity.
